Do you question the normative institutionalized aspect of psychology and psychiatric practices? Are you interested in raising awareness around psychological activism? So do we!

We're having a radical mental health movie screening and open discussion of the movie Tarnation.

Movie description: Filmmaker Jonathan Caouette's documentary on growing up with his schizophrenic mother -- a mixture of snapshots, Super-8, answering machine messages, video diaries, early short films, and more -- culled from 19 years of his life.

Where: The Flying Brick
506 S. Pine Street
Richmond, VA

When: Tuesday, 12/14 7:00-10:00pm

How: If anyone would like to carpool, just contact us at [email protected].

Come out to discuss the character(s) coping with and realizing their actual role as autonomous individuals, rather than a cog in the 'crazy machine.' Also feel free to discuss anything else that comes to mind!

**The Flying Brick is a sober space, so no drugs or alcohol, please!**
