Working Group Updates
Education / Outreach
Meeting with Montana and Annie from Campus Icarus
Plugging volunteers into national work
Meeting with Brad before his mad pride class and do a presentation in it with sascha
Annie and Montana will present
-introduction (sascha)
-what the group has done in the past (Neil)
-what they will do this year (annie and montana)
- Student volunteer aka internship program (Michael)
Not using the term volunteer and talking to volunteers about what term they would like to use.
Wellness policy- look at it and be mindful of stepping in incrementally after a crisis and supporting those who have come back
Channels for ed/ outreach new hire job posting?
-Idealist, craigslist and ally organizations
-be prepared for responses
Neil and Michael will put together an email blast that could be forwarded to coordinators to send out
Mimi will field responses from potential hirees
Michael will give heads up to local nyc group to look at stickies on web forum because people are responding to old posts and are confused about the state of nyc local, let nick know if old posts need to come down
Fountain House / Icarus literary magazine project is underway

Troubleshooting WG budget development: general advice is to create ballpark figures and create a short list of goals for the year for your working group to match. Once everyone submits something, we can put it all together and tweak amounts.
Sticker loss of $500- write it off rather than take them to court

Good opportunity with everyone in NYC to get together and make a plan, Neil will send email

Evaluation process was built in to the new working group set up
