CAIROCKs. It's been a week and writing this notes is like pulling
teeth. So here is what I've got so far, it's like the first half of
the meeting and a few important bullet points.

Updates on National Icarus.

The NYC office is not being closed. All of the icarus literature that
was being stored there has been sent to four icarus chapters,
including Bay Area icarus - one box currently resides in Jacks'
garage.

Radical Mental Health groups in Russia, India, and Berlin have
contacted Icarus expressing interested in communicating.

There can be a monthly newsletter featuring updates from each of the
local icarus chapters, compiled and sent out once a month to keep us
all in touch and build communication.

2012 will be the Icarus Project's 10 year anniversary. Maybe we can
have a national gathering for icaristas from all over. Perhaps in the
Bay area...

We can focus on raising funds to support this national convergence.

New groups are forming in Austin, Brooklyn NY and New York City
(Manhattan). We talked about how it would be good to reach out to the
other California icarus chapters that have been meeting in North Coast
and Santa Barbara. And have a more integrated CAIROC for California.

Anarchist Salon. Danni updated us on the upcoming Anarchist Salon,
which will be at Station 40 on 16 st in the mission, between Mission
and Valencia across the street from the Wells Fargo. It will be a four
person panel, with Danni, Lee, Oona, and Jacks partaking in the
dialogue, and it will be opened up to the whole group. Please add some
details where I missed them.

The issue of accessibility to Station 40 as a space was brought up ---
it has a long flight of stairs. One solution is we can carry you...
this has been done before on this very flight of stairs.

The Anarchist Bookfair will take place April 9 and 10 (Sat and
Sunday). At the fair building on Lincoln and 9th Ave, just inside
Golden Gate Park. We have an open panel slot for a 50 minute
presentation on Radical Mental Health. We can have it be on Saturday 9
or Sunday 10. We're open to ideas for speakers and topics. One idea
that was mentioned is a Laconian professor exploring desire.

We are going to set up a blanket outside the building and have icarus
literature, email sign up, zines for distribution, and peops to talk
with. It's gonna be good. Come! We can distro people's personal zines
as well, anyone who has one or knows someone with some zine love, get
some copies and we can have them there too.

One idea is that we set up a Mental Health tent there at the bookfair,
where we can do a little support for folks coming through to
decompress and chill for a bit. We can model the kind of community
support we talk about.

It was suggested that we form a book fair working group. Anyone
interested, we can meet up and flesh out the different aspects of
this. Contact Danni who has volunteered to be the contact person for
this group, and we can get it going.

Also this weekend (9 and 10 April) - Sins Invalid.

We revisited the idea of putting a brief heads up about CAIROC into
the Preramble we read at Sunday meetings, where we say that CAIROC is
a group meeting here in the bay to focus on organizing, and is open to
participation to any Icarus people. Maybe say the next meeting time if
it's known. Also, we can have a longer explanation of CAIROC on the
internet web site. Kathy volunteered to write a brief statement like
this and send it to the list.

Leah Lakshmi - upcoming speaker possibility! Lots of stuff about this.

Icarus POC - initial meeting at Womens' Building.50 an hour, icarus
can pay for it? Jacks will look into possibly getting discounted space
through contact at SFWAR (women against rape).

emiko will look into room availability at CIIS for the POC meeting. or
was it for Leah's upcoming presentation? My notes are vague on this.

Student Alliance - will not provide funds for material, yes for flyers
/ advertising, yes for stipends, maybe yes for food.

We can hold the Leah event at another space to provide access to other
communities than come to CIIS. We may not raise much or any money: we
can rethink these events as bringing spaces for communities to come
together and engage in issues of our health, and present new ideas and
speakers. Unitarian Universalist Church was suggested, as was the
Koret auditorium at the library in SF. Each of us can look into one
venue for Leah's presentation. It would hold 100 plus people. Jacks
will send out a link to Leah's web site.

Two potential speakers to research: Len Saputo, Stanley Krittner.

March 11 - head cold, film from Berlin about a woman living and
struggling with the psychiatric issues. Playing at ATA Valencia st.

emiko will talk to the bookstore at CIIS people, about stocking /
selling Icarus literature there.

emiko also will set up a Doodle to help us determine the next CAIROC
meeting time.

Next meeting - let's talk about the distro.

Jacks has a new zine.

Peace

Evan

The main idea of online

The main idea of online shopping is not just in having a good looking website that could be listed in a lot of search engines or the art behind the site. It also is not only just about disseminating information, because it is also about building relationships and making money. laptop backup Mostly, organizations try to adopt techniques of online shopping without understanding these techniques and/or without a sound business model. Rather than supporting the organization's culture and brand name, the website should satisfy consumer's expectations.
