doing well, solid. wind, gardening, overlapping different directions, excited about summer gesundheit institute, organizationally thinking, role of joy and play and passion in what we do. tentative on icarus land, present to process, excited about women's call tomorrow, eing witness.

doing really well, took on huge stress challenge and dealt with it. starting school residency so contact spotty but will do what i can. happy about disintegration extreme bc need for re-creation. hope we end the pattern of territorial retreat when collaboration doesn't work. excited about daedelus role.

hit ground running coming back from mexico. being summoned by different parts, sometimes hard, yoyo finding balance, holding space, hurt, hope. like drowning analogy will made, had good talk with sascha, madigan came in when it was sasch/ash cofounder, lovers, etc ok need to go forward or a collective movt, we had consensus to move forward with collaboration, moved in to what few years later feels like nuclear family model, dismantle that -- that's dissolving, dissolve nuclear family thing, smashing that, pansexual polyamorous art fag. excited about dissolving, letting go... tomorrow illuminating.

Ombudsowl role -
madigan -- collects and holds grievances. if community not being heard, rules, laws broken -- head office of compaints. in context of women's encuentro -- similar but emotional, so people not forced out of space, have peer support. deeper level to go. empathy not just bureaucracy.
sasch -- that's helpful
madigan -- kind of like being scribe but of conflict and complaint.
sasch - lots of responsibility - are you up for it molly
molly - someone needs to be in that role, but i will be interim person until transition team figirues it out, creates formal procedure. not long term but

molly -- i'm pretty neutral, so i'm not overly involved in past struggles organizationally, so i feel i can hear people.
will -- yes - really good i'm not this person, need neutral person.
madigan -- we need scribe role, we don't document how we deal with it in our process.

madigan -- yes encuentro wants to make sure their input is included. lots of overlap
molly - makes sense they work in parallel -- it's gonna inform the flight plan -- procedures about grievances, how to do things better.
madigan -- number one priority of owl body -- we need everyone's buy-in, that that is going to happen -- 150% . we have to actualize this.
will - total agreement - we're creating vehicle for implementing input from encuentro
sasch - when i think of flight plan, eg what are working groups, complaints, polocy, media exposure, grant proposals, -- wonder how this fits in to em max sent out -- vision as a movement, who we're speaking for, etc. i'm looking

Decide on transition team next steps:
Need consensus on transition team idea.
Who is the proposed transition team?
Madigan spoke about transition team with the following:
Alicia-is not interested
Kieran-is interested/wants to observe and gain clarity re: role & commitment.
*Alex-wants to be involved again, needs support around history w/TIP.
MaryKate-no contact yet w/Madigan, sense that her role would be transitional/not ongoing. (Sascha initiated contact via email/phone messages).
Mimi-considering transition role, and will be on Sunday call & in office on Tues w/Madigan to offer feedback.
*Alex to be invited to participate in transition team with clarity around focus of team on organizational development/structure, not interpersonal issues.
Narrow transition team focus to flight plan and keep separate from on-going owl collective positions at this time.
Draft formal email invite, with attached 1/28/08 meeting notes about proposed transition team, and request brief intro by next week and forward to all for review. (Molly/Will)

Ombudsowl Role:
Ombudsowl will formally collect and hold grievances, mediating conflict between individuals and organization with responsibility of follow through.
In women’s encuentro (molly/kieran)-role is similar, offering emotional support, empathy beyond bureaucracy.
Scribe of conflict and complaint.
In the past, conflict has not been documented and goes nowhere in the institutional memory.
Having someone in this role is an ethical responsibility.
Molly agreed to hold interim Ombudsowl role through transition process because of neutral stance.
Need for scribe role and attention to confidentiality.
How does flight plan/transition team fit with women’s encuentro?
Proceed in parallel. Encuentro wants collective to acknowledge input through outcomes and have feedback included in flight plan for implementation.
Encuentro will inform transition team/influence flight plan work.
#1 priority is to actualize the actual implementation of input.
Communicate with transition team for flight plan to put into practice women’s encuentro and community input.
What does flight plan encompass (groups, grievances, policy, proposals, etc)?
And how does it fit into larger vision/movement?

Flight plan will spell out how decisions are made/governance structure around vision—how we navigate the vision.
