Thanks for trying that idea out! I think it looks pretty cool, what do you think? I like how you wrapped the text... now I won't have to try to remember how to do that. :)
One thing though is that the dpi (72) is too low for the text to be very readable. Can you do it again with a higher dpi image? Or is the original 72 also? Not sure what graphics program you're using, but if possible, try to save images as "tiffs" (PC version) instead of jpegs.
We need a byline, too... I think Nancy wrote that one as "Nightbloom"?
Also, I'm thinking we should probably tighten this up so it fills a page better -- that way we can make the image and the text bigger, and also not crowd the image by having to put too much other stuff in the white space around it. Like the cup can be straightened up some, the handle could be changed to be more toward the 'back' and the outer coffee ring can be pulled in a bit. Let me know if those changes would be a hassle, I can do it in Photoshop if needed.
I'm glad you like it! I think it works. I agree that it needs to be tightened a bit. I just did a quick job to see what it would look like, and how you liked it. I'll tweak it a little, and add a byline. Thank you for the feedback!
The gallery won't let you upload tiffs, and it limits the file sizes. I made a jpeg so I could upload the image. I still have the psd that I can play with, and I'll save as tiff after I apply the previously mentioned changes. I will send you the high res version.
I don't have high res versions of most of the gallery images because they're not mine. Some of the versions of the images that are in the actual Submissions and FoundTreasures wikis are a bit better quality. I do have higher res versions of my own work, and I would be happy to send you whatever images you need. If we need a higher quality images of anything else, we will have to ask the original artist/photographer.
Sweet!
