So I can't shake my social worker and soon enough if I don't appeal my rent representative payee status, she will be in charge with my social security money.  I admit that I have had depression and extreme anxiety in the past but that was when I was busing alcohol and drugs and mixing it with psychiatric medication.  I am better now, and feel like I'm being mistreated by my social worker!!!!  one thing that is sort of prison-like is that she is basically trying to force me to stay in the area I am living in, Western Massachusetts, while I want to expand my career as a teacher in New York City.  I live in subsidized housing and numerous times my social worker has expressed her upset state over complaints against me in this housing project saying that I could lose my housing, but when I say I want to get rid of this dumb housing situation altogether, well that's not acceptable at all because I'm on a lease!  like that factor doesn't enter the main picture when I receive complaints, which are trivial at best!

All I hope for is that I am able to move to New York City if I can get this teaching job, manage to get health insurance or keep my current health insurance for the time being, or applying and getting new york state health insurance..if anyone can help guide me to the right webpage to apply for this that would be great!

anyway it just sucks because my neighbor and friend has a social worker who takes him to McDonalds and to the movies and going shopping while all I get is someone who tells me that people are complaining about me because I've been walking into my friends houses without knocking (and that's supposed to jeopardize my housing!  Oh no please don't evict me!)

I just feel so stressed out because on top of dealing with a potential new job situation I have to shake off my social worker and current living situation just so I can pursue my dream of living in the city and being a teacher and checking out concerts at stuff.

anyone else have problems with their housing/social security/ and especially social worker?  anyone with links to resources online for new york city residents or soon to be residents who are looking for cheap health insurance?

thanks!
