This years zine symposium in Portland OR. was amazing (the first time i was able to attend.)  It brought up so many relavant topics.   The Zine culture and as a medium for free expression is not only a new radical form of art and self-epression by combining many avenues to express yourself it is a tremndous way to articulate and communicate prospectives that may enhance or offer a certain value to our lives.

I learned so much from the many difern't form of zines and how they represent various lifestyles and or perspectives on lifestyles and the choices we make.  The diversity of zines is comprable to film and yet is available to each to pursuit by whatever means possible and may readily share with others.

Something else that was impressive, was the community and culture.  The great folks who's sincerity and open-friendliness helped motivate me to trust again in people and hopefully develope compassionate friendships again.

The relation i have with the creative arts seems t be changing as I change in life.  My interest and passion is comes from who i am and thus relate to myself and process life experiences through this.  What i am uncertain about is how or even whether or not it is relavant ot share this with other, since it is so self centered?

Is there an answer to this question: is art playing a significant part in shaping my lifes experience?   Is art revealing gentle comminicative notions of myself to myself?  Is it actually less important than i view it to be.  Should i set priorities on muturity through less self serving avenues of interests?
