Even though this artwork wasn't conceived specifically with the theme of bipolar disorder in mind, it has a lot to share with my personal experience of bipolar disorder's twin, depression: in particular, I wanted to somewhat portray how the essentially interior nature of depression makes it somewhat invisible to the ones who don't experience it first hand, and how the reality of such a condition gives a dramatic turn to everyday life. Under this perspective, not even a wall seems like a safe anchor to a depressed person. The same wall anybody else would see as an example of stability, and one's perception of himself, or herself, becomes blurred and skewed, a drama people around would probably be keen to classify as a "grumpy day."
