The Rise of Technology

Jane Lecroy

 Collage 10" x 14"

Part one is nature. We are natural creatures of this universe but insist on separating ourselves from it and are of two minds because of this concept of world and self as it relates to the human condition. Our perceived juxtaposition of our animal nature to our supernatural nature, challenges us and leads us to technology. Part two is technology, which simultaneously pulls us closer to and farther away from ourselves, our world. We know our natural moon better since we landed on it, but to find that out we had to literally leave the world. There are no absolutes and the pendulum of the heart oscillates from broken to unbroken and there is no one answer to the first question of : Who am I and what is reality?
