As a comic artist, a lot of my work is autobiographical, but prior to this piece I had never touched on my illness. While I was making this piece I was a little worried about people's reactions, but at the same time it felt great to talk about some of the things in my head. The only thing better than how I felt while making it was how great I felt afterwards. Everyone's reactions were positive and made me feel a little closer to all the students in my class. It has definitely changed the subject matter of my art for the better.
