WOODLAWN, TN: friends of a woodlawn man who recently committed suicide were initially shocked by his tragic death. but now, many of his friends agree that the suicide note he left made some compelling arguments supporting his decision to end his own life.
"at first, all i could think of was what a tragedy it was that he had thrown his life away like this", one friend was quoted as saying. "but after reading his note where he said he no longer wanted to be an emotional burden on everyone and how it would just be easier if he were gone, well, its just hard to argue with that kind of logic."
another friend, rumored to be an ex-girlfriend, said she was initially devastated by the news but felt much better now that she had read the suicide note which explained that she would no longer have to feel guilty for dumping him for another guy a few months ago. "thats just the kind of guy he was", she said. "always thinking of others."
as friends gathered together for an evening together after the funeral, most agreed that at least now, they wouldnt have to worry about inviting him over and watching him trying to downplay his role as the third wheel. "we now understand that he didnt do this out of selfishness. he did this for all of us and we are grateful. in his honor, we will now all get on with our lives."
