Brad Battles the Human Condition

This piece was born out of a 4am manic conversation with my friend Brad. We talked for hours about our respective battles with the human condition and the next day I conceived this piece of art. I worked on it for three days straight until it was done. It shows the three basic story-arcs of man: man against man (the bottle with the bar code... i.e. commerce), man against god (the bottle with the mathematic equation proving god's existence), and man against himself (the bottle with the human condition cracked and etched into the side.) As you can see, our solution to all three problems and the basic problem of the human condition can be found, you guessed it, in the beer bottles, which is what, ironically, led to our 4am conversation in the first place.
