- Log in to editing mode.
- In the editing box, click on the Icon for the Data Manager.
3. A Window opens that seems pretty much blank. You need to select what kind of data you want to manage. On the right upper side, there is a drop down menu that says “Select a Type of Data.” Click this.
- A list drops down. Select the kind of data you want to manage.
- If this kind of data has subcategories (like articles, for example, which are in a million categories all over the site) click on the subcategory you want.
Now you can manage your data.
Managing Data Example: You want to delete some articles, move a couple to another category, and re-order how some appear listed on the site.

- In the data manager, select the data type “articles.”
- Let’s say we want to mess with healing articles on self-care and community. At the top right of the window, there should be a drop down menu option that says “Categories.” Click this. A list drops down.
- Scroll down and click on your desired category. In this case, click on “Self-Care and Community” which is located within Healing.
- Now you have a list of articles in this section. Things you can do with them:
Search for an item
In the search box, enter your a keyword and press enter.
Change the Order in Which Items Appear on the Site
- Next to each item, as the last category of the table, is an option called Position. The top possible position is 1 (the item will appear first on the list.) The last possible position is 25. select the position you would like. When new items are entered into the database, they are automatically entered at the bottom: 25.
Add a New Item
At the top right of the page is a little gray + sign. Whenever you click this, it adds a new entry to whatever list you are in. A window will pop up with the form that allows you to add a new entry.
Move Items to a New Category on the Site, Or Deleting a Group of Items
- Select Items: in the list, there is a checkbox at the far right of each item’s listing. It is between the User Id and the Position. Check the boxes of all the items you want to move.
- At the bottom right of the screen is a drop-down menu box that says “None.” Click it and then select your desired activity: moving items to a new category or deleting them.
