Forums
The heart of our old website — the community forums — are still here, just categorized a little better. You can find them in the Community section under Discussion Forums. New to this version, you will find the form for posting replies and comments at the bottom of each thread — so you can read the posts you’re responding to without going back and forth a million times! Yippee! For more instructions about how to use the new forums, check out Using The Icarus Project Forums.
Community Guidelines
We’ve posted a revised and updated version of our community guidelines — please take a look.
About This Project
To make it easier to share information about our history, goals, organization, current projects and future plans, we’ve created a new section called About This Project.
Related Madness
To accomodate the increasing number of folks using our project who either struggle with conditions other than bipolar, or in addition to bipolar, we’ve added a section called Related Madness to help you explore everything from Schizophrenia to PTSD. We need your stories and info to help us complete this section!!! If you would like to get involved, please e-mail [email protected]
Support Network
We’ve added a whole host of features to this site to help people meet in local groups and start discussion. From the index of support groups and regional calendars located in the Support Network Section, to the exercises, fliers, and information available for download and printing in the Seeds and Spellssection, you’ll find all kinds of tools to help you get people together.
Healing and Treatment
We’ve spent a lot of time adding new features to help people get info and share stories about our experiences with healing and treatment. You’ll find 3 new searchable databases that contain information on meds, supplements, and health care providers — and allow you to add your comments about each! In addition, there’s a fledgling crisis section and over a dozen articles by various Icarus Project members on healing and treatment.
Spreading the Word
This new section of the website offers detailed information and illustrations from our Icarus Project books and materials, as well info on our events and workshops, and a wide selection of materials available for downloading and printing out to share with friends.
