Why You Have 1 Hour to Edit/Delete Posts

For those of you who spent time hanging around the old Icarus Project website, you probably noticed that sometimes someone will get really paranoid or depressed or angry or something else and then go delete all their posts. Suddenly dozens of threads are missing vital posts and the whole chain of response doesn’t make sense. Fascinating stories are gone and useful information is forever lost in the trashcans of cyberspace… We don’t want this to happen anymore.

So we’re instituting a new 1 hour rule: You have one hour to obsessively craft, refine, spellcheck and otherwise perfect your comments, and then they are a permanent part of the site.
