She is walking down to the corner of the city. Her eyes follow her green shoes, her head in a blue hood. The air has the sweet taste of coffee and rainy leaves. At the end of the street there's a homeless man drinking a soda pop. He stubs out his cigarette on the pavement with a quick decisive stomp of the boot. Alyssa nods a hi to Charlie before entering the coffee shop. Inside it the speakers blair a song by The Beatles. She orders iced coffee and a bagel then she waits 'all you need is love!' the man begins to whistle. This is one of Alyssa's most vivid memories before she was kidnapped.

Little Alyssa The work is not done Your hope is still strong Make yourself at home Take a drink Smile and think Power and youth, dreams Future for a dance Can we take the chance Sing the song Do not do wrong The world in peace We can get along The room of the free Is not in a house It is in me Stop the destruction Pave this path Do your land a favor And stop pointing fingers Return to the truth Freedom and happiness
