“in the Sun”

Inducing the erosion of vulgarity in human form…

Layer by portion thickened by depravity, but now the answer is here,

erasing the mass holding her ironically consumed,  as if protruding from the gravel.

They said she could stand if she stood, but what did they know of strength?

Buckled under, her bones breaking until she found her secret.

Keep closed the pathway to its survival…

Even its frenzy of depravation would fall deaf to her ears,

restricting the spread of its disease encapsulating her freedom.

Warnings they pressed upon her, but what did they know of danger?

Discovered when illness took Excuse’s mercy, so she kept mercy forgotten,

opposites were her lifestyle, pain now her pleasure as dizziness her calm.

Just as she felt the gravel rip off her knees, the sun welcomed her,

lifted tall the heat graced her presence, reinforcing confidence in her endurance.

They said this was the only view, but what do they know of the answer’s discipline?

She would rise into the sky and surpass their merger views,

with nothing weighted too descend her onto gravelled knees again.

They said she would have too deprive it of all it’s desires, but what did they know of real desire?

All she ever wanted was to stand tall with lightness in the sun,

if it took her never touching the ground again to get there…

So be it.
