You know it! The ocean is an amazing reminder to me of the cyclic nature of life. It is prehistoric perfection. Surfing requires a person to be in tune with the tides, seasons, weather patterns, geography. It makes me feel more whole. Gardening also invokes this intimacy with the bigger picture, nourishing the soil makes more delicious better plants which nourish me and we both feed off of the sun and the rain. It gets hard to feel the connection if too much time is spent in the grocery store buying plants to eat or using running water on demand indoors. Speaking of which, i better get off the computer and reconnect...
