heroically waiting for rescue
Submitted by pterosaur on Wed, 09/08/2010 - 11:04pmYesterday a katydid flew into CZ's house and he didn't know what it was when I said so.
Tonight I made two quishes , one with gluten, one without. I took my time preparing it: crusts from scratch with butter baked hot and dry first, farm eggs separated -- cheeses and blackpepper in the yolks, fresh spinach and frozen broccoli tossed in the whipped whites . Sausagetoo, cooked on the stove.
It's the time of year to ask G-- for a sweet year.
It's easy to cook at CZs house--everything needed is within reach in that little but functional kitchen.
So anyway: After dinner the katydid showed itself on the ceiling, stuck in some wide masking tape CZ had used to seal off the cold air vent. All six legs were stuck in the sticky tape.CZ, a skilled carpenter, cut the tape away bit by bit and put water on it (the tape).
He found that the legs of the small creature were in fact so strong that he held onto a leg and pulled the tape off with fingers of his other hand. Strong feet. And it seems katydids' EARS are at their knees, so how did CZ sound? Like the train coming by his house?
ANYWAY: If you read this please say so 'cause I never blogged before
I read what you wrote.
I read what you wrote. What's a katydig?
