rivendell high school
Submitted by yirimyah on Thu, 09/13/2007 - 8:52pmrivendell ssp is the most retarded organization in the world.
They have a policy that students/patients are not permitted to associate outside of school; this, despite their complete lack of jurisdiction over what we do outside of school, and despite our right to freedom of association. While at rivendell, I met a girl who I am now engaged to. By misusing material gained from their clinical interviews with other patients (which are supposed to be covered by doctor-patient privlege) they became aware of our involvement and proceeded to attempt to sabotage our relationship. They made negative and untruthful statements to each of us about the other, including alleging that I tell others to commit suicide on the internet.
When their attempts to destroy our relationship failed, they threw my fiance out of the programme. She suffers from anxiety, depression and PTSD, not to mention DID; she certainly cannot manage going to conventional school.
I am her next-of-kin. We live together and are getting married shortly. And yet, we have never engaged in any kind of inappropriate physical contact while at school. We haven't even kissed. So why do they assert that they have the right to dictate as to our behaviour when we are elsewhere?
Without Rivendell providing support, my fiance cannot graduate from high school. She has a tested IQ of 168 and was, untill her latest relapse, a straight-A student and dux of the junior school. She ought to be at university, not finding herself unable to graduate.
yirimyah-- I am sorry to
yirimyah--
I am sorry to hear that your school is so fascist. One word of caution is to be careful (I know from experience) of stating names of schools, businesses, where you live, etc., on the Internet. If they know you post on the Internet (which you said they do), they could be watching you. The last word I have is just a note, filled with all of the softness I can give, on using the word "retarded". Please don't. I have worked with people who were diagnosed as such and it is a very stigmatizing word. Also, there may be people on these forums with more than one kind of disability. But my best to you. You seem young, and idealistic. Don't lose that passion...and fight to hold onto your love with all you've got. Don't let the bastards get you down.
peace-
Amy
