Hi folks near and dear,

This is my first time posting on the Icarus web site, though I have been attending San Francisco Icarus meetings for close to a year now!  We have been meeting every Sunday since Sept. 2009, at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) graduate school located @ 1453 Mission Street between 10th and 11th streets. You will need to check in at the station with ID of any sort, and sign the clipboard stating you are attending Icarus.

We meet on the 2nd floor, back right in a community room.

 

The Civic Center Bart station is a 10-minute walk to the school. Head SW on Market St towards 8th St. Make a Left @ 10th St and turn right onto Mission St. The school will be on your left, midway between 10th and 11th Sts. Other public transportation includes the Mission Bus, # 14

 

Come check out the next meeting to visit and connect with some wonderful people with alot of energy, creativity and loving-kindness. We meet between 4:30-6:00 pm.

The format of the meeting is: Check-in and support for the first hour, followed by activist/ brainstorming on current and future events dealing with mental wellness and Icarus activities, then a final checkout. Members take turns facilitating the meeting and usually send out an email note about anything that was special or noteworthy from the meeting.

 

After a month or so break, I will be facilitating the meeting this next meeting on Aug. 1st.

Email if you are interested in attending so that we can get an idea of how many folks will be attending. Lastly, we are hoping to find a place in the East Bay to hold meetings, but for now, the SF @ CIIS is our current home. Thanks CIIS and graduate students who made this possible! Hope to see you there.
