This art dovetails with the idea called "Rollback" first (?) popularized by Noam Chomsky in his extremely important talk "Media Control, The Spectacular Achievements of Propaganda". It explores one aspect of this Rollback, namely one arm of professional-dom doing "it's job"--enhancing the tyranny of statecraft while pulling Public-Relations-type wool over massified eyes.
