At some point, as the star was curiously folowing the planet intensely following the other star she realized the planet was so intent on the other star, it wasn't even giving off its own light, it was merely reflecting the light of the star! How horrifying!

She'd enjoyed the wind blowing all this time- surely just because she wasn't in control of it didn't means that it was bad? But the bird seemed convinced- if you didn't cause it, you don't deserve it. Or, if you aren't in charge, you're being lazy.

Funny- I never thought of anticipating how to escape the restrictions and fears I've put on myself. I guess I never imaged that internalized aspect of oppression. How terrifying for something unhealthy to be part of you! I've always had a thing about parasites- they are in you and not of you. "Get them off! Get them off!" yick.

Betty thought this was very impractical, certainly you had to know what you were looking for before you started looking, not decide what it is midway- and she realized she was already midway, and already didn't know, so the best thing she could do was start where she was.
