June 18, 2007 - Maybe this is some kind of bizarre test. This spring has beset me with a succession of of petty nightmares of a type designed to induce madness even in the hardiest of souls.

So, here we go yet again. Word came to me today that a vacating tenant on the floor below me left behind a massive infestation of bed bugs.

As a precaution, that entire floor is being sprayed - along with the ones immediately above and below it.

So once again it's time to break my back prepping for a legalized home invasion, complete with chemical weapons.

As near as I can tell psychiatrists are the high priests of the new religious order. The language they use may differ but when it comes down to where the cheese binds, psychiatry's attitudes, superstitions and social control function are not significantly different from those of the medieval-era Church.

2:00 PM, July 2nd. I'm cycling east along Bloor St., just east of Bathurst in downtown Toronto.

Given the strained and occasionally deadly nature of the overall relationship between psychiatric survivors and law enforcement agencies, it really begs the question: should the police even become involved in situations where someone is experiencing an emotional or mental crisis?

On Thursday, February 21 a committee of Toronto City Council heard from numerous deputants regarding the critical loss of shelter beds and other basic services for homeless persons in the downtown. Council opted to do nothing.

This has been a piece-of-shit period in my life if ever there has been one.
